Hey guys,

Well today was a day that I probably will never forget. :metal: Back in October, I purchased an LT1 to do an engine swap. Fast forward a little over 5 months, 7 grand spent, and today was the day to fire her up.

The real thing to also keep in mind is that this engine was purchased without hearing it run - and we couldn't even crank it over manually because the bolt was missing from the crank snout on the front. I started this project barely knowing how to do anything mechanical and I've learned TONS along the way.

Stats: LT1, CC503 cam, 1.6 pro mag roller rockers, comp cams hardened pushrods, heads milled 0.010", fel pro head gaskets, 30# injectors, rebuild performance 4L60e transmission (should be able to handle about 800hp I guess?), 9.5" custom built torque converter... I guess it will stall 2600 to 3400 depending on rpms with a 2.0 STR.

Alright, time for the videos! :metal: :metal:

Thanks for all the support guys! :D

So far I'm loving the lope. I had a local tuner, Steve with S.B. Tuning, come out and recalibrate the MAF tune to handle the 30# injectors and he deleted the EGR. It idles really good so far but I still have to put the y-pipe in so the o2s will work better.

Haven't been able to drive it yet - it's still on stands while we wait for some front suspension parts to come in. I'm hoping it will be drivable by the weekend. Once it's drivable, I'll be taking it immediately for a front-end alignment, then over to a muffler shop to have my race ready e-cutout installed, and then over to Steve for a street tune. :D
