well my car just made the trip from NY to FL, and my brakes are really shaky now. can drilled and slotted rotors be cut? or can i just get new pads? or do the rotors need to be replaced?

How old are the rotors? They could be warped... check them for cracks too as lower quality drilled rotors tend to do so

Theoretically you can "turn" drilled and/or slotted rotors. The brake lathe doesn't even notice the slots/holes. That being said like Z28pr0jekt said if they are "ebay" rotors most likely they are throw-aways.
Oh, and I would never just replace pads. Especially if you have a vibration. The vibration is due to the rotors being warped and pads will do nothing to fix that. If your rotors are fairly new and you replace pads at least scuff the rotor surface with 36 grit sandpaper to give the new pads something to "bite" when new.
BTW, glad you made it to FL.

Wow yea you should not be having a warping problem with baer rotors at all.. could be something wrong with the calipers/pads

It could be something in your rearend that got worse over the miles driven to Florida... I can't remember for sure but wasn't a C-clip broken or something? Just throwing out guesses but maybe rear axle bearing is gone and parts are just in there clanking around on decel...
For sure unless you did like 100 panic stops on your way south the rotors should not have been affected unless a brake was dragging in which case you would have known that by the smell and most likely smoke.

yeah i've turned my drilled and slotted rotors before. just make sure they use a new bit, b/c it seems to wear the bits out after turning a set of 4 drilled/slotted rotors.
