Well on the 26th ill finally b bringing my Z to the track for the first time. Not only is it the first time that ive been there with it but its the first time its seen the track at all. Now i got a couple questions and tips i need to ask for since ive havent launched a M6 b4 nevermind a modded 1. Mods im running r a Comp 304 cam, 1.5 rrs, 4.10s, MT ETs pretty much full bolt ons and suspension minus a kmember and aarms. The car weighs around 3100 with me in it. It being a deoptioned 1LE also no rear seats, jack, spare, a/c, all smog deleted.

Now i havent got my Spec stg 2+ in yet so launches should b to hard just yet. But what is usually a good rpm to lauch at?

What should i be looking at for times?

How big of a burnout with the MT ET's?

And pretty much any tips u all can give me would b great!!

Woops, accidentally hit edit instead of quote so don't mind that it says I edited your post haha.

Roll through the water box and get a nice smoky burnout to get the water off and gum up the tires a bit... try slipping out the clutch around 4000 rpms the first run... if it spins, back it down next run... if it bogs up it by about 500rpms on the next run.

Make sure you have jeans on (idk the weather there) but most tracks wont let you run with shorts on, you must also have shoes. If you're in the 13s you need a helmet... and make sure your battery tie down is secure and all of your lugnuts are tighened up.

If it's night time, you generally will need to have your headlights on... also make sure your window is rolled up. Just little things that if you get warned about them you might get more nervous so I'm giving you the heads up now.

Make sure you have literally no drips under the car.. not only is it dangerous for you, it is dangerous for everyone else.

Ya they make us wear jeans and all that stuff. I raced my V6 back a couple years ago when i still had it but havent made it up there yet. Im hoping i can c mid to high 12s being my first time out there but i dunno how its gonna b with launching the damn car. Plus i dont trust that 10 bolt to much lol

Yea that's why I'm telling you to slip the clutch and not dump it... because if you're at 4-5000rpms and you dump it and those radials hook with the 4.10s there is a much higher chance of breaking the 10 bolt.

Basically just like you're taking off from a red light but much higher rpms

ima guess low 12's to high 11's if u get a decent (1.7-1.8) 60ft. thats a nice race weight btw. ur car must have most of the weight reduction mods done to it

It's a 1LE car. No A/C, crank windows, no fogs, etc.
