I love it. My dad raced when I was a kid and I want to build a car but the funds arent there. Im going tonight and am pretty excited.
Nothing like watching 600 horse sbcs scream around the track at over 7500rpms.
I like dragracing to, but id rather watch some cars sling some dirt.

I went last weekend, best race of the night was the "Stock" 4 cylinders. I know a guy who races in that class and has around 4 grand in his "Stock" motor. He still wasnt the fastest. lol

our driver sold everything last year and bought all new this year. he threw a rod through the block last year (literally through the block) so he has a bit more then $15k in the motor it made some good power though i think around 750. should be a better season then last. tried to get a video but i cant get it from my phone

Last year I went to a big track about an hour away. A guy was sponsered by AArons and his car was painted up like the AArons Dream Machine. He totalled the car on the last lap and said after the race it was his last weekend with a sponser, and he was out of money.
Most guys I know are just sponsered by local trucking and construction companies, I havent seen many big names like Monster, thats pretty cool.

Glad to see yalls cars.
Im definitly gonna build one when Im financially able to. Dirt Track racing is a dying sport though Im afraid. Alot of our local tracks are shutting down and none of them have the cars/crowd they had 10-15 years ago. :(

all the tracks around us are dissapearing too. they keep buildin houses near them then the ppl complain and it get shut down. we drove 3 1/2hrs saturday to delaware for a race. but there's always a big turn out of cars so it'll be around for a bit.

Yeah I ran a satellite view of the local track and it looks like they are grading for a subdivision behind it, if thats the case it will be gone soon. My favorite track is about 45 minutes away behind some chicken houses, it should be around for a while.

I raced go-karts on dirt from age 10-19, and raced a midget type car from 17-22. I love the dirt track if funds weren't an issue i would be in a full sprint car or a super dirt late model..
