I usually read Car Craft, Camaro Performer, but i was thinking about getting a subscription to GM high tech and performance but its mostly lsx stuff and builds. They have a random article about LTx stuff, but i was looking for a magazine more dedicated to LTx stuff and builds. Is there such a thing? Is out nich in the car world that small we don't even have a dedicated mag online or in print?

I think its called ltxtech.com
Ha, I wish there was a lt magazine, but I dont think there are enough of us left for one to do good. I like reading gm high tech, and camaro performers has a few ltx articles.
With the lsx platform being what it is now, theres not much room for us underdogs.

Nope no magazine. I doubt that you'd get enough subscriptions to make one. LS1's are getting cheap enough for everyone to use those as "weekend toys" now.
My only car subscription is GMHTP, but my dad gets a few. Chevy High Performance, Hot Rod, etc.

No Magazine. GMHTP used to do a lot of LTx stuff, but since God himself touched the Gen III+ motors, the LT1 has gone to the wayside of articles with little true performance content other than testing manufacturers products that prove to be a weak overall offering (Edlebrock LT4 manifold anyone??).

I've got a bunch of older copies of Camaro Performer and GMHTP that have some great LTX articles, but nowadays your not going to find very much anymore.
That's why the internet can be very useful. Thank you LTXTech!

I'd like to feature some sweet engine builds here, but that's in the future. Definitively we would like to be the end all be all for the LTX platform.

GMHTP here.
It's definitely more geared towards lsx, but I like reading about them too.
I hate the other mags because of all the 1st/2nd gen crap. I'm not an old man with 50g's to blow on the resto of a 69SS RS Yenko whatever. I want to read about 4th gens!!! lol

I agree with Gregrob, i ran across Camaro performers on the first issue, and liked what I saw lots of tech articles spread across all 4 generations high priced and low budget, so I got a sub when they began taking them. Now only 6 issues into my sub, i get frusterated, its filled with layouts of 1st gens, yes they are great looking cars, but who really is going to do a frame off resto on a 69 SS, and then have the interior custom, and drop in a crate LS7, and a built 6 speed. Those guys have more in their trans and clutch assibly than i do in my whole ride. and there are several of these in each issue. I own a 2nd gen and their lack of tech articles it what gets me. WHen i feel like looking at car porn i go to a Car Show.
I called the editor of CP out once, during their LSx 427 build up that on the cover stated it was their exclusive article. It was printed 2 months earlier in Chevy high performance, with the same write up and the same guy in the exact same pictures...the editor wrote me back saying he didn't know it was a re-used article until after it went to print, and talked about how hard it was to do his job with low man-power. I didn't belive him. I was thinking about trying GMHTP, maybe it won't piss me off as much.

GM High Tech is probibly as close as you are going to get for a LTX magazine. They have mostly LSX related stuff... But they do have some LT1 stuff in there. I loved the article on Larry @ Speed Inc's Camaro.
They should make something though...
