Just a V6 I picked up last June(07) for $850. Turbo will come this winter, once I put it in the shop again. Yes, I know it is slow. Everything you see I did myself with the help of my grandpa and dad. And I made the hood myself, so don't laugh too much.
My grandpa's '59 Fairlane is next to it.

Honestly the car looks good. That hood is nice for a DIY job. the cowl doesnt follow the contour of the car, but thats a hard contour to match.
what turbo setup are you going for? are you planning to use any of the modern 3400 parts on your motor? i understand that a lot of parts are interchangeable.

You're on FTV6 with me sir. ;) And thank you btw.
I'm going for a t3/t4 with air to air.
I probably won't be doing any swapping or using 3.5 parts. Probably just port and polishing everything the best I can.
From what I understand, in a FI setup you don't have to have amazing air flow, because the turbo does that. But any extra insight would be helpful.

haha i thought that car looked familiar.
Its always been my understanding that with FI cars, you want to keep your compression down so that you can turn up the boost. I was just asking about stuff like aluminum heads and stuff, weight reducers and slightly better flowing stuff. not sure how they effect the compression ratio tho.

Nice work lets us know when you get the turbo done. Also keep a camera with you so you can take pictures of ppls faces when they realize that they've been beat by a 6 banger camaro!:D

Ha, any 93-97 should look like an lt1. I'm not trying to make it look like something it's not though.
