What main and rod bearing clearances are you guys running?

Really depends on what the motor is built for. I'm running .0021 on all the rod bearings. My #1 main is at .0026, #2-4 are around .0021, and #5 is around .0031. I would have ran the main bearings a little closer looking back at it, but haven't had any real problems with it and I beat the crap out of this engine.

Its a 355 LE2 h/c, with forged eagle rods and weisco pistons. I'm planning on running, at max, a 200 shot.

I'd keep all the rods around .002, a little more on the mains (2-4) with even a little more than that on the front and especially back main, keep it closer to .0025.

A handful of guys on this forum probably have just as much if not more knowledge about the clearances than your local machinist. The whole point of this forum is for questions like this.

A lot of local machinists are for a lack of a better term, idiots. I've had problems before and looking back I wouldn't trust these people to screw in a light bulb. I'm not saying they are all like this, but its better to be safe than sorry and have multiple opinions.
