My t/a has a set of chrome zr-1s that the former owner showed no love. They front rims have black brake dust crud on them that seems to have turned to a concrete like substance. I've thought of using ultra fine steel wool but I don't know how well it would work. Any suggestions?

Get a powerball and some chrome polish, that does the trick on polished wheels should work for chrome to. I don't think I would try steel wool.

If I was you I would go pick up some Mothers chrome polish. I had some draglights on my old car that no one every took care of. I used Mothers and they looked like they were brand new.

Wheel Acid, but after you do, make sure you polish them or they will rust!
