Ok. Im goin racing for the first time ever tomorrow night. I got good tires, my battery is secured and im not leaking fluids.
Do I need a helmet for my car, or should i just borrow one to be safe.
Also, I dont have a dust cover for my torque converter. Will I be turned down at tech or is that ok?
Also, I heard that if you have nitrous they make you carry a fire extenguisher in the car. If I have solenoids but no bottle do i need an extenguisher?

Thanks for answering my newb questions.

If you have nitrous you need a blowdown tube, and you should have an extinguisher just in case anyways.

You need a helmet for 13.9 or faster

I wont have the bottle so, i shouldnt need the extinguisher

Main thing im worried about is the dust cover. I cant use mine with the new truck transmission.

That I don't know but I don't see too many techs (unless they are pretty strict) actually looking underneath the car

Even if strict, I've never heard of them checking for that.

And yeah, helmet for 13.99 or quicker. But you are right, might as well wear one if you have it.

No bottle, no problem. ;)
