Got my Nikon D40 today (got a great deal on it) and was playing around with the different settings on it tonight. This shot was the best one that came out. For not knowing a damn thing about what I was doing I think it turned out pretty well. I just need to figure out how to use the damn thing now LOL.

Hey Brian if it's a online or chain deal shoot me a PM, my brothers looking to get a D40 soon.
Pic looks good, especially for the first time behind the camera.

I picked it up off of Craigslist. It's used, but practically brand new. I had my eye out for quite a while, I knew I'd eventually find someone looking to unload a camera and I did.
Thanks for the compliments, guys! :)

I really wish i went with the D40 .. Instead i went with Fuji's comparative F200 EXR- It shoots really well but availabilty of lens's is less than I'd like ... I shot this last night -

Ah nice, they're starting to be a pretty good deal new now I'd consider picking one up but my Digital Rebel XT is pretty comparable.

Yea, I just picked up a 55-200mm lens today too so we'll see what kind of fun I can have now. Just what I need, another expensive hobby :shiner:

Never been able to justify spending more $$$ on my photography hobby. One of these days.

It was another impulse Craigslist buy today LOL. So far I only have about 400 into everything. Not TOO bad I guess.

Yeah, I paid $550 for mine on sale @ Best Buy, granted that was in 2006.

WOW that is a badass shot man. Is that just the flash or do you have some sort of lighting?

Long exposure on a tripod.
Exactly. I used a tripod and used a long ass exposure on the camera. Took about 15 or so shots to get it right. It was pitch black when I shot as well :D
