Well UPS dropped of my decision on the rims. I got deep dish ZR1 wheels in black. 17x9.5 up front with 275/40/17 Sumitomos, and 17x11(50 mm offset) in the rear with 315/35/17 Sumitomos. All i can say is these are freaking huge! hera are a few pics. THey came witrh corvette centercaps. THe rear lip is over 2 inches deep and the front is a little over 1 inch. I am happy with the quality, one rim has a little light spot on the black but is barely noticable unless you get right on them. I figure i can always repaint these red someday... LOL J/K not bad for about a grand to the door.

Car is lowered like 1.5 inch in the rear and 1.5 in the front. Nothing major. I replaced the spring Isolators in the rear when i added the LT headers cause my cats were scraping. MY buddy has a set on his Indy Pace car and he has the full 2 inch lowering , it dosent rub. I have to make sure my rear is centered via the ADJ panhard, but that should be easy. That should help with the rubbing, and if it rubs i break out the BFH and the wheel lip roller. LOL

Dont plan on hooking with those tires. They hook decent when they are almost bald if you run them about 25 psi, but new, they are some slippery sons of bitches.

Good choice though, I approve.

those look great man.

You guys running the 17x11 out back, how many of you have had rubbing issues, because I use to read all the time that guys needed to hammer the crap out of the inner wheel well and bend the quarter panel and all this stuff, is that true?

jaysz2893

Here are a few pics. No rubbing (so far) need to wash the car and polish up stuff but you get the general idea.

Thanks for all the compliments guys!

As for fitment issues, they bolted right up. I did rub once on the Pass side when i hit a big hump in the road at about 75 MPH. I prob gonna rent a roller and do the lips to be on the safe side. No interferance on the inside at all. I have the rear pretty well centered.

Well, the more i look at it i kinda liked the gunmetal look, but the c6z06's were just to flat faced and smallish looking. I am thinking about maybe next year when i get the car painted having the wheels either painted or PC gunmetal. I do think Zr1's are classics on 4th gens, and the Z06's were just a little too "dressy"

sounds good, i think the deep dish zr1's would look sick painted silver, like someone else had. silver wheels look great with red... it has to be a special wheel to look good with red in my book...

OE Concepts Chrome 17x11 Deep dish on the rear.
Those do have a lip on them but they are not the same as the ones posted. The new style are referred to as the Morxchn design, which is brand new and has a little deeper lip. I'm going to call OE and see if they have that design in chrome yet.

So did you ever rent the roller and if you did how hard was it to do? Because I'm going to need to do mine, my wheels rub at stock height if i have any rear seat passengers. lol

i got one from a friend locally. It was very easy, just be careful with the heat gun on the paint. You just need to keep it warm enough to keep the paint flexible.
