These rules use a lot of the same guidelines as ls1tech's and quite frankly they are pretty damn straightforward. Pro Stock John's rules set the stage well for his forum and therefore we will be using some of them here. Please follow them. We have also added many of our own specific rules to keep this forum running smoothly.
Members, please take a moment to review our rules and guidelines. If you have any questions you can post them or you can send a PM to any Staff Member.
General Community Rules:
All vehicles of any make and engine combination are welcome here. This includes, and is not limited to, SBC, LS1, BBC, and V6's.
No pornography is allowed. Offensive images must be deleted, OR, if a thread has multiple violations we will move the thread into the Moderator Forum. Pornography includes anything that depicts full sexual activity and any other lewd acts of sexuality. This includes 'just the tip'.
No racism is allowed. Offensive comments must be deleted, OR, if a thread has multiple violations we will move the thread into the Moderator Forum.
No physical threats are allowed. Offensive comments must be deleted, OR, if a thread has multiple violations we will move the thread into the Moderator Forum.
No sexism is allowed. Offensive comments must be deleted, OR, if a thread has multiple violations we will move the thread into the Moderator Forum.
No shops are allowed to attack, or excessively critique the efforts of, other shops. If a shop makes a negative comment about another shop, we ask that they abstain from making any additional comments of that nature and to take their disagreement to email.
No excessive bandwagoning, factionalism, and fighting is allowed. If members make more than two negative comments in a thread, we ask that you refrain from making any more comments since your point has been made, and the additional of more negative comments will not constructively contribute to the topic thread. Please notify administrators if moderators if members continue to make negative comments so that we can take corrective action.
No complaint or negative feedback threads are allowed to be posted by anyone other than the owner of the vehicle or the shop that was involved in the installation and tuning of the parts. If the shop that installed or tuned the parts has negative feedback we require that shop to have made demonstrable effort to contact the original manufacturer of the performance parts to resolve the issue before resorting to posting on our site. No other second or third hand complaint threads are allowed. We will lock threads that do not fit within our guidelines, or move them into the Moderator Forum. If the member who posted the second or third hand complaint thread appeals, they need to have the owner of the vehicle personally post the problem since second and third hand posts tend to leave out critical bits of information. This rule apply's also to feedback threads about manufacturers, shops, and race organizers.
No controversial threads will be deleted. Any questionable threads will be moved to the Moderators Forum since there may be follow-up with the people involved.
We reserve the right to suspend member's board privileges if they regularly violate any of our rules. If a member violates any rule more than three times that member can be banned for anywhere from two weeks to one year. These bans are able to be appealed. In general, if a member has received three warnings (infractions) it's unlikely for there to be a reversal of the suspension since we will have already exhibited a lenient attitude prior to the suspension.
Pictures and Albums:
We reserve the right to remove any picture that is added to an album that we deem unacceptable. New images are immediately posted to the top of the forum so everyone can see them. ANY NSFW pictures will be deleted immediately. Bikini pictures are OK if the bikini isn't overly revealing. Any asscracks or breasts that are barely covered will be removed. Anyone that cannot be mature with the albums will receive an infraction with the ability to post an album possibly being removed.
Any Picture Albums that do not contain pictures will be deleted. We regularly go through and remove albums that are barren and empty. Please do not post an album if you do not have any pictures to put in it. Thanks
Signatures, Profile Pictures, and Avatars:
Signatures:
500x150 is the absolute biggest image size you can use. PERIOD. We are not allowing users to hotlink their signature picture with IMG tags. What does this mean? This means that you MUST upload your picture to our server and use the 'SIGPIC' option. We do not want our forum to become riddled with massive signature pictures that are obtrusive and obnoxious. The limit is 500x150. If you need your picture resized, please post a thread in the signature request forum and we will be glad to accommodate you. If you somehow manage to still get a sigpic up that breaks the restrictions, we will remove it and you will receive and infraction. There is a nice green link at the top of the page with the Forum Rules, so please be sure to read them if you are confused.
Profile Pictures:
Registered Users are allowed to use a 100x100 pixel image for their profile. Posting a profile image that is pornographic or offensive in any way will result in a 1 week ban, non negotiable. Profile pictures are a very nice option to spice up your profile a little bit and we will not tolerate any user that wants to be funny or offensive.
Avatars:
Registered Users are allowed to upload a custom avatar no larger than 80x80 pixels. Sponsors and Staff Members have slightly larger avatars, which are 100x100 pixels. The same rules from profile pictures apply to avatars. We will not tolerate pornographic images.
User Titles:
User titles can be customized under two conditions.
Condition one is that you make a donation of 5$ or more to the site and you then become a VIP Member. VIP Members can change their user titles at any time, for an unlimited amount of times.
Condition two is that you become a Staff Member. Staff Members are allowed the same user title perks as VIP Members.
Donating to the forum and VIP Members:
Any registered user that makes a donation of over 5$ will become a VIP Member once the payment is verified. This could take anywhere from 1 minute to 5 days. Verification depends on your bank and how fast the payment goes through the system. VIP Members will receive at least one LTXTech sticker, with any donation 10$ or more, and the ability to change their user title at any time, for an unlimited amount of times. VIP Members are the sole reason this forum exists and we want to thank every one of them for donating.
Name Change Requests:
Name change requests will be reviewed only if you meet this criteria:
Must have at least 100 posts. We will not change your username if you aren't even contributing.
You must be registered for at least 30 days.
You have not asked for a name change in the last 90 days.
If these conditions are met, you can dispatch a "Private Message" to SoulReaver (http://ltxtech.com/forums/member.php?u=3)with the request to change your name. Please note: we will absolutely not change your username more than once in 90 days. We will also not change your username unless you meet the criteria posted, no exceptions.
Sponsors can change their name at any time, and any user that wishes to change their name to reflect their business may do so without following the criteria posted.
We reserve the right to revise these guidelines at anytime. :)
