View Full Version : Plate beneficial for 100-125 shot?

I plan on spraying the car with a 125 shot max, which will make less power to the ground than most because of the thin air up here.
I figure it will about like a 100 shot at sea level.
Anyway, I like the idea of running a plate but not sure if it would be any better than normal jets for this relatively small shot?
I'm thinking of the HSW micro controller for the window switch and either a NO2 outlet or HSW wet shot.
Thanks

I'd be willing to bet the plate setup is going to perform better than a nozzle setup. The atomization and distribution should be better especially since it will be behind the throttle body with a plate.
Nitrous Outlet has a great LT1 kit and you can get their controller with window switch and full throttle switch as well. My entire kit is Nitrous Outlet and setup is a lot better on their controller compared to HSW IMHO.

Thanks.
Does the outlet controller do A/F shutdown and multi gear lockout?

It doesn't have the A/F shutdown but does have gear lockout. A fuel pressure safety switch can serve the same purpose as the A/F shutdown.

I would say if your only going to spray 125hp, you won't see much of a difference between a single nozzle and a plate. It might be a couple horsepower on a dyno but I would say there will be no difference going down the track. I've been spraying this car for a while and others. I would also say that there is little or no need for a controller on that small of a shot. Your going to get the best et by giving it as much power as possible and these cars can hook a good size shot.
I have gone as far as two stages and was even spraying them both right off the line because the car could hook it. I would say on a 125-150 the controller might simplify the wiring a little but You will want to bring it all in at once.
I will be giving my car 350hp in two stages with it all coming in in less then a second.
A bottle warmer will be a better investment then a controller.

no need for a progressive...but I consider a window switch a must.
as tx20d said...the FPSS is good insurance. And without a wideband sensor the A/f shut down will only be as accurate as the narrow band OEM sensor is.

Thanks guys. I was going for the controller more for a window switch than progressive.
I'm thinkin to keep cost down the brand x wet kit (fogger) and a window switch (either of the 2) and a FPSS for added insurance.
That and TR6's gapped tight and timing pulled out of the tune.
Sound good for a 125 shot? I do NOT want it detonating.
