ok i just worked a deal on some lt headers.

JetHot offroad coated longtubes 1 3/4" primaries, 3" collectors. Have about 2-3 thousand miles on them

Anyway i have a couple questions. i dont know jack about headers really but what else is need to install these on my 97 ws6? it also doesnt come with a ypipe so my other ? is were do i find one or how hard are they to make?? thanks

Check with speedinc. or herron performance first and see what they can get you for ypipes as they are board sponsors,

You will need header gaskets and header bolts, possibly O2 extensions

Ditto, but you might be able to get away with just running one O2 extension on the passenger side. The drivers side was long enough on my car.

need decent gaskets and bolts. These are the ones i got:

Then you need a lot of paitence, bandaids and to get the car high enough off the ground. I would offer my lift but the corvair is still stuck up on it. I did my car on jack stands. Will need to remove the starter, Oil filter and steering shaft. While you at it remove and change all the spark plugs. I tried with my spark plugs in the heads and i broke of a few. I strongly suggest getting some magnaflow or random tech Cat Converters. I went car less for a while and it was loud, and stinky. Eventually you will need em for inspection and as we both know DE inspection SUCKS!!

a buddy of mine works at a car dealership and they have lifts so we may tackle it there after hours. anyone know what ypipes will work with the jet-hot headers?

Get some good gaskets and bolts if you dont already have some. You can make an 02 extention pretty easily too.

Depending on how many miles are on your car, you may not be able to get the o2 sensors out. I only could get 1 out of my car when I went lontubes and rounded off the other one.

i just turned 50k. also these are non emmisions headers. the shorties i have have a tube in the top of them with a hose going into them. do i need that?

No, you'll need EGR blockoffs too.

^^^Yeah, cant forget about that! Those are also fairly easy to make too.

I slapped a hooker Y behind my jet-hots. Prepare yourself for some floorboard rumbles lol.

It gets annoying. First, I noticed my Y rubbing on a bolt that holds the fuel rail (I think it was, its been awhile) so I zipped off that bolt, got a little better. But now it appears its rubbing my trans crossmember pretty good. I just need to take it off and mill it down a little bit and itll be quiet as a pruder.

ok i need some o2 extensions now. u said they are easy to make? how ya do that? iv got the o2 sensors from the shorties that i was gonna throw in the long tubes(i think theyll work). they go down near the collectors right? aslo i gues im gonna need an 02 simulator for the pre-cat. were can ya find them? i cnat find any of those on ebay.
