what are z28 or ss rollers (no motor/trans) selling for now?

I realize this is kinda a vague question, but what are z28 or ss rollers selling for now? I'm talking relatively complete cars minus the motor or trans. I think I'd seen a few go for around 1500 recently, but I have also seen a lot start out asking around 2500. Don't know that any of those sold though?

I would pay $2500 for one if it had excellent paint, and relatively complete ie: wiring, fuel lines, interior etc....

So 2500 for a very nice clean roller. What about ones that need work...paintwork, interior work (something like seats need recovered etc), but is otherwise complete with wiring, fuel lines, etc.

Hard to say really. Bodywork isn't cheap and that would determine most of the price. To me, if it needed any sort of paintwork, I would steer clear. If it needed a hood or something that I would replace anyways, then it might not be a big deal. But a quarter panel would be out of the question.

I've seen complete cars that need some work go for $1500. Nice complete cars $2500-$3500. I haven't seen many rollers around. 6cyl cars are cheaper.

oh yeah! haha i would pay 3500 4500 for a ss rollor complete, even if it needed a little bit of TLC, but thats my opinion

Interesting, I've seen plenty of clean SS cars (no paint damage, etc) in good running condition with a fairly low miles (70k ish) for around $8k. 3500-4500 seems kinda steep to me for a car that's missing motor/trans and needs cosmetic work.

If you are looking for a clean roller I have a buddy selling one. It has full HAL/QA1 suspension, CM K member, ADJ Tqarm, lacs, panhard, SFC's 9 inch rear with 4.10's. Is a red z28, very clean was a 6 speed converted to auto, so both sets of parts are there. Lat time I checked hae wanted it gone ASAP, and he stil has it... A few grand i am sure, the rear is worth atleat 2500 so maybe 3000 for the car?? I can get more details. He is located in Delaware.

i was refering to what i would pay, i would kill to have a ss, i would pay probably 5 for a roller, i have a tranny and engine in my garage and if i do all the work myself thats a ss for 5 still cheap (for a ss)

IMO a clean matching #'s SS LT1 will be a very valuable car in 20 or 30 years. Look at what the late 60's SS cars are worth today.

I wouldn't go much more then $1500-2000. If it had an aftermarket rearend, k-member, ect then the price may go up about 50 cents on the dollar for what these extra's are worth.

Can you get some more info. Just about the title, what year, and are the electronics in it or is it stripped etc. Let me know, I would be interested if he still has it.
