Ok guys,

Got a cable ordered up for mine and my friends car this wknd, should be here this wknd.

Both are 94 so OBD1.

What monitoring software are you guys using?

I looked at the TTS and pcmread or whatever it is, they look pretty simple. TTS has a little better interface but pretty limited on what you can see.

I would like to be able to see what tune is in his pcm right now and look at where everything is. I think he's really, really rich...

Also, I wonder if it would help if we sent data logs of both cars to ION when we get mail order tunes?

Thanx

Greg

TTS is the most universal and wide used logging system for LT1's and its very well setup.

As far as 'tuning' the car, since its 94' its a flash so youll have to send your PCM off or get LT1 edit/tuner cats and have a tuner email you a file to upload yourself.

That's what I'm going to do, get an email tune I load myself, then make small changes on my own.

What's better, tunercats or LT1Edit?

Are you familiar with actualy tuning a car? Edit is an easy interface to work with but cats is ultimatley better software.

I am not familiar with tuning these cars, although I feel I do understand the theory.
So edit is "easier" but cats is more advanced? Is hp tubers or efi live ever gonna do anything for the LTX platform?

Correct.

Those are your options for LTx stuff. HpTuners and EFI live arent for us

I don't feel either is 'hard' to work with. But tunercat is way cheaper.
