I installed the Delteq coil packs on my car rather than relying on the opti-spart setup. I was curious if anyone else on this forum has also been using the coil pack setup instead of opti like me??? This is the first time I've used it and really havent had any experience with it yet because my car has just been finished, so I'm wondering if there is any preventive maintence I should do, or any little things i should watch out for with this setup. Thanks! Ben.

I'd like to know also, because I plan on doing this this summer.
I run it, still need a working opti for it! My advice is to buy a good GM opti (if you dont already have one) when you install. I have never had a problem with it and it works great. Would rather have a LSx PCM and coil packs though, which will happen this coming winter

I am running the Delteq coil packs, but I also purchased a Dynaspark stage III - it's basically an upgraded optical sensor inside of a sealed billet aluminum housing with both of the vent lines. It has given me zero problems. It's not cheap at 519.00 - but if you have an issue and want to get rid of the delteq you can send the dynaspark back to them and they will switch it out for a dynaspark stage II for 85.00 = opti manufactured by them - similar to the MSD but a much better piece IMO. here are pics of both.
I have since switched to MSD coils instead of the GM coils after theese pics were taken.

I've had a delteq unit since sometime in 2005. No problems here. Something to think about though, make sure you dont mount the little brain unit right up against the driverside head. use some washers to make an air gap or mount it to something that isn't so hot.
