View Full Version : Firechicken on the nose?

Anybody here scraped off the Firechicken on the nose of your Bird?

I have never liked it on there, and I thought it was molded into the front bumper, but turns out its just a emblem stuck on with some double sided tape.

Anyways, I am going to scrape it off when I paint the T/A

Anybody else done this??

I was thinking of putting a Pontiac emblem in its place, something like this would be sweet

But since I will probably never find that I would go with the traditional emblem

all my emblems are off my car. side and nose bird. i like the look, smooth and people who don't know the car are like what is it?

i was thinking about putting a bird on the filler panel. but that would give it away.

Yea thats kind of what I was thinking too, but not all of them, I like the rest of the emblems I just dont like the nose bird.

You have any pics of your cars nose?

mine is taken off, it is a very low milage car and i can still make out the outline of it in the paint. You have to actually look to see it but i know its there and it pisses me off

Mine's off too. Looks much cleaner without IMO.

Also...this isn't my car but one of my close friends. He hit a deer and the replacement nose didnt have the bird on it.

I'm sure a little 2500 grit wet/dry paper and some compund would get rid of the outline.

When I crashed my old V6 I left it off and always thought it looked good. Now I just like to keep the outside original as possible

i like mine but ive seen some look good without it..and PipesTA is one of those that looks good without it!

Haha nah its straight u made me wonder so I just looked..I'm sure I'm the one that was crooked that day when I took those pic..

when I got my car, half of the bird was torn off, so I pulled the other half off, and from ten feet or so out it looked like it was still there. I found one online and after it was painted I put it back on, but after I made it like I wanted it.

I was waxing my car tonight and...I just don't see how that thing would come off that easily... looks like it would be a real pain in the ass.

I did it with my finger nail, it wass almost like a gummy candy lol

I'd really like to try it, but I'm scared to mess it up. haha. Just like the side moldings, I'd LOVE to take all of that off, but once again...scared to eff it up. lol
