is there any performance gains from a single 3inch? i have shortys, 3inch back to borla muffler. im looking at a set of longtubes but the guy also has a duel set up that dumps before the axles. for a 150bucks more.

you will not pass DE inspection with duals dumping at the axel. It will fail for noise. 94dB @ 5 feet i think is the measurment. My LT's with dual cats and the borla capped off just made the cut off 2 years ago. I go to try again in May. Keeping my fingers crossed. Oh, and when i didnt have the cats and my borla was wide open i got pulled over 3 times for excessive noise. Hence i put back the cats to quiet her down a bit.

dmv sucks!! i just passed@ 94.5 db. first time i was at 103 with the open plate in the borla. the thought was to just keep the muffler up there and when its time to go through again to hook it up again.

i doubt you will gain anything from switching out what you already have. a 3" i-pipe and open boral is pretty free flowing to begin with.

Boy am I glad I don't live in delware haha, i just put true duals on my iroc and it sounds real bad ass... 3" stainless off hooker long tubes into SLP loudmouth resognators. lol def wouldn't pass your noise test.

yeah dmv in delaware sucks a$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i went in there with my car and its nothing crazy. just by looking at it youd say it sounds good and thats it. outside and inside is all factory. i pull in there and they come over fromt he other lanes and out of the trees and break out rulers, checking out every freakin thing they can just to find sumthing wrong. there pricks for the most part, at least in kent county.
