so a friend gave me a 4000 stall, not sure brand, dont even think its been used but a handful of times. i have 3.73 im putting in this weekend and my friends want me to put in the stall at the same time. im pretty much stock other then some bolt on's, free mods, and tune, plus i have tunercats to tune myself. question is what other mods do i need to get the most out of the stall?

Definitly get a tranny cooler with a stall that big.
I know some people go with an aftermarket flexplate to.

i would not drive much if at all with out the cooler. i am running a trans cooler fro the local auto parts store. it was like 40 bucks or so they aren't very expensive. the bigger the better.

Get a B&M stacked plate designed cooler. Works better than the cheapys. You might want to look into a shift kit too. The shifts are going to be a little soft otherwise.

Another tune after the stall install is going to be needed too or your PCM will think your trans is slipping.

yea i had actually looked at the b&m racing cooler for 75 bucks for just cooler and 121 for the kit on jegs,i think that im going to buy jus the cooler, yea a friend said i can have his b&m shift kit, but my tranny already shifts really hard, but i plan on putting servos and shift kit in anyways especially when servos are cheap and a free shift kit lol
