My car has an Air/Fuel ration gauge on the pillar and it doesnt work 90% of the time.
Most of the time it shows one green bar all the way at the rich side like it does when you turn the key on but dont crank the car.
The other day I went to the car wash and it started working but quit again.
How are these things hooked up. I know I could try to follow the wires but dont fill like taking out plastic on the inerior to trace the wires.
Do they go to an o2 sensor or something???

Thanks,

Trent

Narrow band O2s are pointless and just a light show... if it's wired correctly there will be a power wire, a ground wire, and a feed line to the O2 sensor

I know, but its there so Im just gonna use it for the hell of it, I like light shows. :finger:

Thanks though. I just found some wires burned behind the manifold that may go to it. Im thinking about replacing it with a fuel pressure gauge when I wire the nitrous back up.

Much better investment :)

You need to first check the power and ground wires from the back of the gauge (they should be connected within the cabin I would hope). Then check the connection of the gauge wire spliced into the O2 sensor (purple wire IIRC).

Sounds like you have a bad connection for sure since it worked intermittently after the car wash I'm guessing it's the wire spliced into the O2 harness.
