What kind of gains would I make from LT4 Heads/Intake and Hotcam? I'm looking for some nice gains, and the LT4 hotcam kit is pretty cheap . . . I am looking at 12.5's right now, hoping for 11's on motor, would this get me to my goal for a budget build?

IMO, the $$$ to switch to LT4 Heads/Intake isn't worth it.
Low 12's / 360rwhp is pretty easily doable in a hotcam'd LT1 w/ stock ported heads.

Oh ok... so if I go any heads/cam package it'll be LE or AI... I have just seen good deals on all those parts on different sites. I guess an LE1 kit would be mild but produce enough power to get me to 11's. The only real power makers I have on the car are longtubes and an intake.. gears tires and stall cut down most of my ET.

What times have you produced at the track so far?

12.5? when did you run that? last i saw you were 12.9 or 13.0.
vance was running 12.3s with ported stock heads and a hotcam which is pretty good for an auto hot cam. i doubt you will see 11s with a hotcam unless you drop alot of weight.

I'm hoping for 12.5's... i was running 12.9's and 13.0's with 2.1 60 foots... and when i put the stall in i hit one high 1.6 and consistent 1.7's, but transmission issues (banging rev limiter at shifts) caused me to run a 12.9... so I figured that kind of 60 foot drop I could be looking at a 12.5/12.6.
i was hoping for 11's with the lt4 heads/cam and intake, but it seems like it's not going to be worth it in the end, I just wasn't sure on what kind of gains the lt4 heads/intake would get me on top of the cam, and whether or not it would be worth the money

vance was hitting the stall wall too. he could have probably hit a 12.1-12.2.
i don't see you running a 12.5 with basically nothing done and being an auto. i'm gona guess you are in the 12.6-12.7 range.

could be the end product, my car's responded to mods fairly well. i thought every .10 off in the 60' equates to .15 in the 1/4, with outside forces neglected. that's how i estimated 12.5/12.6.
