IDK if this is just my computer.. Or the site.. But is it possible to make it so when you click on a sponsors banner to have it open up as a new page so it doesnt exit out of here?

Yes it is possible. You simply "right click" on it, and then select "open in new window"

When doing websites, I've always linked to external links in a new window and internal links in the same window.

However, as a "user" I always use shortcuts to choose how I want my links to open (usually a new tab)
