well, here are some better pictures of the manta. they're just camera phone pictures but they'll do for now. and now that you have seen how good it looks, you all should guess what body shop painted it. i'll give you a hint, everyone knows of this body shop.

How much did they charge you to do it?
Did you get the whole hood painted, or just the manta?

Maaco.:D
Well that is what I was thinking but then I thought...surely not.
OP, If they did are the stripes cleared over or is the black just a single stage?

That (left side only) is how I'm doing mine if I do it.
And yeah, based on the hint I guessed Macco too.

yes, you are all right. it was done by a maaco that a friend owns. the painter has 30 years experience and just recently started at this maaco. they painted the hood, bumper, and blended the front fenders. it is all a base clear paint job. they did the white, masked off for the black, and then cleared over it all. it is painted pinstripes, and not tape. it really came out great, it's not your average maaco. they have an 08 corvette that got hit there right now. they do great work. and i got charged $550 but that's because my grandfather got this guy started into the painting/body work business.
oh and they also repainted the sail panel as well. this was base cleared too and came out as good as the rest of the car.
