Ok guys, I see alot of people that port their intake manifolds, and they always talk about porting an area behind the tb to reduce the starvation of air to cylinder 1. Now my question is, where the hell is that piece to get rid of haha? I was thinking about porting my own intake manifold and was wondering where that point of restricted airflow is. PICTURES WOULD HELP IMMENSLEY!!!!!!

Damn, I want to know about this too!
In general, what are the pros and cons of porting your stock IM?

All you gotta do is turn on your engine and pour sand into the intake. Home porting made easy!
K sorry, I can't help you but it seemed too easy

the thing they are talking about is right between the tb holes. its the path of the idle air curcit, itsa hump looking thing that goes from about the middle of the holes and down. you can open the tb holes up and round the back side of them. then you can take quite a bit of the passageway down.
i have pictures of my intake all cut open somewhere.

So if you get rid of this obstruction then you can probably run a 54mm monoblade throttle body, correct?
