Anybody have any ideas on how to get the the lock off of the wheel without the wheel key? I need to do something pretty quick. I'm losing air in one of my tires and I can't get the wheel off.

Thanks in advance.

See if some people on the local car board will let you try theres? My wheel key for my chrome ZR1 lugs worked on a friends '00 WS6

After that it comes to drilling the stud out or welding a nut to the lugnut.

There are usually just a few keys specific to each mfg. I think McGard has 4 or 5 different keys. So yes you could find someone with the same key but you would need to be really lucky. If you know the brand of locks you can call them and they can send you new keys.

Or, you can get a wheel lock removal socket from a parts store. I know for certain NAPA carries them (i'm looking at them in the tool catalog as I type this). Your lock will be trashed but at least it will be off...

You can go to discount tire and have them removed

Thanks for the info guys. I think I'll try the removal socket thing first. I don't want to eff up my wheels trying to get the nuts off.

We got the wheel locks off friends 98 GT with a socket slightly smaller than the lock, a hammer, and a breaker bar.

There's a nifty tool for it, almost any tire shop should have one if you can't find one for cheap.
