hey guys i have stock rims off of a 1995 trans am and i want to paint them black myself, what paint do i use?

I'd recommend powdercoating but any spray can should do just fine as long as you prep it right, do a couple good coats and clear it.

I would use some kind of wheel paint from any auto parts store and put primer down first.

Make sure they are absolutely spanking clean!!!! Otherwise your paint will peel off in no time.

Yea I honestly think you're better off bringing them to a shop so they can get sandblasted and powdercoated, it will last longer IMHO. I know there is a shop around here that does it for something like 20-30$ per wheel (sandblast and powdercoat) and in all honesty 120$ for 4 wheels done professionally is very good..
