One passed me on the highway the other day and it looked awesome. I know it's an LS1 car. I've only seen a few of them before (around here anyway). Is the gold color a limited production car? Are they rare?

I believe they are very rare, and that the color was only offered in 98, I may be wrong though.

98 only color, about 24 Sport Gold Metallic WS6's made, second only to Bright Purple Metallic IIRC. I would give up a nut to have a WS6 in either of those colors. Missed my opportunity at two Purple WS6's so far due to wrong timing. :(

Meh, I'm not a huge fan of the color. I wouldn't buy a purple car though.

gold was a 98 only color and i'm pretty sure only part of the year. i got a couple pics of the rarest 98 gold fbody in existance. a 1998 gold 1LE formula WS6. this is a verified 1 of 1 car and one of only 14 98 WS6 ILE formulas made. i took the pics at the Trans Am nationals last year

Never seen one in person, but judging by the pictures I don't really care for the color. Makes it look cheap.

Theres a gold SS over on LS1Tech right now for like $10,500. Looked great too. Thought it was a very good price considering how rare the color was and it didnt have that much milage on it.
