ok so i just got a cam for my car. Right now it only has CAI, shift kit, stall. I just got a GM847, headers, and a x pipe for a duel. ok my question is wat do i need to install the cam im gonna port and polish heads, intake, TB. so here is the question wat springs and roller rockers would i need to make it work and wat else is needed im gonna get 411 after the cam install

Going to need a spring that's capable of handling .600+ lift as with a 1.6 the exhaust side of the 847 is right at .595. Second, don't mill your heads. On a stock bottom end you're close to PTV issues with the 847 as-is, mill the heads and you're asking for lots of trouble on a missed shift.

I can't remember the number right off hand but I believe Comp makes a drop in spring that will work without milling the seats out.

As JPack said, if you haven't, consider a rod bolt upgrade. That cam likes to rev.

well honestly im not gonna rev that high i just got it more for the sound so im not to worried about it wat would be a good time to run not reving it to high if i get mid 12s or even high 12s i would be happy

The problem with that cam and not reving it up is it will feel like a dog. I have this cam and it loves to rev up to 7k and it comes quick. Granted my set up is built to rev up that high. If you are not going to rev it up and expect 12's, I doubt you will see it. Need at least 4:10 gears, if auto need at least 3200 stall. Buying a cam just for a sound is like having sex with a blow up doll....lmao. Could have put in a 503 and sounded the same and had better outcome and drivability. I doubt you will be happy with your choice.

well i got the cam for 150 brand new in box it just so happens i had the cash my mistake was buy before doing my homework on the cam and yeah i plan on getting 410 after the cam swap well i was gonna go with the lt4 hot cam but this cam came up ill see how it goes. i have heard good things about the 503 i might just sell this one and buy that one but still don't know. ohh and i don't know how it feels to have sex with a blow up doll YET LOL:D
