Well I have a voltage drop and don't know what it is. The car is a 94 B4C, lt1 M6, it came with a bigger i think 150amp alternator that is going bad and they don't make replacements, I replaced it with like a 110amp and the car barely stayed running. , used to be an auto. Still has the Auto computer but the auto program was just been deleted. It won't except an M6 tune. And also throw's a "quadrate" failer code. I think thats what its called. It has 4:11 and the speedo say's im going 30 when im really doing about 60. but anyway. Volts are a little above the half way mark when cold, but drops to just above the red line when warmed up. Also has a new battery.
Oil pressure, just curious if this is within spec, cold start is 25psi and warmed up is i'd say 15psi at idle.Cruising at 2k is about 25psi.

Oil pressure seems low, I get about 60psi cold startup and it'll slowly go down to about 25-30psi when warmed up
For the voltage, do you have an underdrive pulley on it?

How did you get a 110 amp alt, the stockers are 140?
And that oil pressure does seem a little low, especially at cold idle it should go way higher than that.

There is no underdrive pulley on it. I use Mobil 1 full synthetic 10w30. The car has about 116,000 miles on it. And the alternator.... I was assuming, I don't remember exactly what i got, but it barely keep the car running. i believe it must have been the 124amp. but anyway, what would you guy's recommend i do? i was looking forward to racing this year....

Where did you get the alt? I know some of the replacement ones are junk and some people have them broke right out of the box. I would prob get it tested to start off with the regulator could be bad in it thats why it works at first then stops charging.
With the oil pressure do you have a mech gauge on it b/c the stock gauges are known to be off.

The alternator was a duralast brand that i got from autozone, just found the reciept last night. I might try getting one agian, and having them test it right on the spot.
As for the oil pressure gauge, The autometer gauge is elect. The sending unit is behind the intake mani and the stock one is in the side of the engine block. The factory gauge reads higher than the autometer one, but both still seem to low for my comfort zone.... :|
