You guys got hit too? It's still raining, been storming here since early this morning (4-5am). Doesn't look like it's going to be letting up anytime soon. Good luck with the basement, I hope the storm doesn't do too much damage.

I'm pretty ticked, I went out to take my sister to a band performance she had to go to Saturday morning, get to the driveway (in the middle of a downpour, BTW), and notice that the right rear of my car is sitting lower than usual. . . Somebody let all the air out of my tire. I couldn't bring myself to drag the hose out of the garage and air it up during a thunderstorm, so I ended up driving the Sonoma I've been trying to sell for a couple of weeks. It started running odd, so I ended up looking up what's wrong with it, going to fix it on Monday. Should be the last thing that needs to be done to get it running like a top again, but it seems that everything bad happens at the worst possible moment.

Damn yall need to send some of that rain down here. Our lakes are still 15+ feet low from last years drought.

Man, that's lame. At least the good is that you are fixing a problem that could potentially earn you a little more on the sale of that car!

Yep we got a little from the last storm and our ponds are still empty here.
Good luck to all dealing with Ike.

Well, that would be the case, but unfortunately, the excessive rain paired with the big, knobby, off-road tires and greasy blacktop caused me to jump a curb into a ditch Sunday evening, and now I've got a list of suspension parts that need replacing.
This truck is going to be like brand new when I'm done with it. lol All new suspension, front end alignment, new O2 sensor and a tune, new exhaust, carpet is being replaced, new weatherstripping, I've put more into the truck this summer than I have into the Formula. . . How depressing!
Oh, and the rain still hasn't stopped completely yet, it's let up a few times, but it keeps starting back up. Forecast says Tuesday is going to give us a break, but Wednesday the rain comes back until the weekend. . .

Yeah, our rain in Chicagoland finally stopped Sunday evening. I think it rained for like three days straight. I think we got like 8 inches of rain or more. Roads are flooded, retention ponds are full to the brim. This is pretty much the most rain we've gotten all at once in a long ass time.

I'm sure we'll be getting a lot of rain again later this week from the leftovers of the hurrricane

The forecast for SE MI claims that tomorrow is going to be the only break we have in the rain. Then we get poured on until this weekend.
