I just got a used Moroso CAI and the filter on it looks worn and a little bit wrinkled. Does anyone know where i can get a new filter for it? I've checked Jegs and they want 62 dollars for the filter. Are there any other alternatives? Cheaper? Maybe different brand filter that will fit. thanks

i personally would search ebay for a similar filter

how is it completely different, the filter that comes with the moroso is just like the one that comes with the K&N... the only thing different about that ebay filter is that it has an inverted end which actually increases the amount of filtration

I guess I had never seen the bottom of the moroso before, but regardless I'm sure you can find the type of filter on ebay

I need to check the filter on my car. I hope its not in bad shape. I definitly dont want to pay over 50 bucks for a filter.
I may try to make the honda filter posted above work with lots of duct tape.

just because it is not an exact copy does not mean it will not work as good.

Ohh...
I'd highly doubt anyone else would make a filter in that shape though.

I'd be more than willing to bet Moroso is using the TPI/LT1 throttle body shape for the end of their intake. If that is the case then just buy K&N's TPI filter for $37.XX RC-5000.
http://www.google.com/products?hl=en&q=K%26N%20RC-5000&ndsp=18&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=if
It's made for the TPI/LT1 throttle bodies...chances are it will fit right up to your Moroso. Or you can buy my K&N FIPK :)

Take your intake off and hold the filter up to the tb mount of the intake. If they are the same size/shape just order the K&N one I posed a few posts back. It's only $35 and is a direct replacement. K&N PN#RC-5000

That is the right filter, but it won't fit like that on your car it will hit the water neck. Like I said in my PM, just try it on the end of the Moroso. Good luck!
