When using a PS rack as a manual rack do you loop just the 2 hoses that go into the box from the pump or the ones that go to the rack or both?

Thanks for the info. I'm curious to try it. Hopefully you don't need to be superman to steer it. Mine is going to be mainly a drag car so it should be ok.

My car's mainly going to be a drag car, so it's mostly a weight reduction. It does allow for the alt. to be lowered and run a short belt. Fewer moving parts- less HP loss. If mine was a DD I probably wouldn't do it.

I haven't removed mine yet, but I've read all the parts total around 35lbs.
Check out Jake'sZ28 site.

i took mine out for the same reason, but i also love how much neater and less cluttered the engine bay is. the only time i really find the manual rack to be a bit of a pain is parking.

im going to be doing the same, i would have liked to keep my ps, but im doing the low mount alternator kit and cant afford to get the ps relocation lol.i will only drive the car one or two days week, so it shouldnt be too bad

They call it "arm Strong" steering for a reason ;)

My pump, resivior, and lines were 12 pounds. I looped my lines like the above pic, sadly my car is still on jackstands!:(
