and a couple of kids come in and right when they get into the door one says out loud "I need a Procharger kit for a 93 Mustang GT!" immediately followed by some offhanded "look at them wonder" type of comment.
So I fired back "You're not going to get that here."
They were cool, seemed to know what they're talking about. Help them find some things, bs'd some. As they're checking out with my red shirt, I come around the corner and say "So you want the Procharger kit with the F1A or F1R???"
The guys say "No way. D1SC."
Well.....I thought they knew what they were talking about. Went directly downhill from there.

There's nothing wrong with a D-1SC. I just found it laughable that the guys in question were thinking it was the big bad one when it's more of a baby blower anymore.

if someone asked me if I was getting a F1R or F1A, I'd say no way cuz I don't need one that big, the D1SC would de me just fine. Unless I ws going to try to keep up with my buddy whose doing twin 76mm turbos on his 00' GT with a 99-01 cobra block and 03-04 cobra heads, then I'd need the F1R. I wish the people at the 'zone by me would even know who ati procharger was, the guys that are in there are flippin idiots, cept for two, but the rest are just tards.

Blah, F1 smef 1, any of you guys remember Derek martin? Had a white six speed 95 Z28, was in GMHTP, really basic 355 with a P600B, car ran 10s in the 130s, daily driven. How about Dave Lewis, MTI built 383 with a T trim, Vortech aftercooler, car weighed 3700lbs, ran 9.9s at 136 in the middle of summer, Fikses up front because the car had a massive baer brake kit. How about Derrick Delinger, More Performance built 396 97 T/A, also ran low 10s with a T trim. Or, I forget the guys name but he ran Accelorinics, rans 9s with a S-Trim in a California street legal 96 Z28. People fixate on these big YSi, XX, F1s, Powerdynes (j/k) when the smaller blowers can get the job done in a street car. A well set up, decent weight 550-600RWHP car that can hook, will run in the 10s. My next set up will have be a blower/nitrous set up.

I want a used S trim with after cooler when I get ready to build a short block. I want to run my h/c set up with the gas for a while first though. My buddy Tim (RIP) and none of you guys know him but he was one of the original LT1 guys bought his car back in 93, Emil Dusek had the right idea. Build a stroker, put a S trim on it, car drives great, makes awesome power while driving around and still streetable and then you have a single stage of nitrous on top of it for when some Fastbird aka Sean the bully is in the next lane giving you mean looks.
