I'd never had anyone send me any LT1 rears at all until this week and now I have two sets of them to powder coat(with ls1 fronts). Getting the piston/boot/seal out was easy enough, just undo those little springs. But how the hell do you remove this big ebrake contraption?? that nut on the stud that appears to hold it all on just spins that grease fitting when turned. I can't figure out how to get this thing off. I'd much prefer to remove it rather than try to mask the sensitive areas and powder coat it all together.
