I would say the basic stuff is CAI, headers and catback.

gears
4.10s for a 6speed along with a good clutch
3.42s for an auto and a stall

1.6 roller rockers
headers
catback
or atleast an off road y-pipe and a cut out.
ignition box (i have never been a fan of the factory rev limiter cutting fuel, i would rather cut spark)
electric water pump
58mm throttle body
underdrive pullies (effects a 6speed car more than autos)
tires
suspension (sub frame conectors, lower control arms, lca brackets)
drop weight

that should be enough to get you going

a 58mm TB is gonna do nothin to a stock motor.

I agree, i did a 52MM when i added the ultra z hood and ram air just to open her up a bit, but i have not noticed any real difference.

it would be one of the last bolt ons to do but it won't hurt anything. on a 305 camed car we saw gains on the dyno from switching to a 58mm from a stocker. the intake was already opened up for the 58 so we did 2 runs with the stocker and 2 with the 58. it picked up 7 hp and 10 ftlbs across the board on both runs.

Technically, they "bolt" in. You can have a gear swap, parts and labor, done for 500-600 bucks.

Unless you get a hook up like I did myself, I have about 320 in it all together, professionally installed

I'd say first things first, get some headers. Biggest gain for one bolt on that Ive seen so far.

^^^ Cams and heads technically Bolt on/ in too!^^^
No really I think the rule is basically anything that doesnt touch engine oil with RRs being the exception.

If your car has 273s you will notice a difference if you can find a rear end out of a car with a 323 or 342 gear. I got my 323 geared rear end for 150 and thats all the money I had in it besides fluid, but my speedo is 10mph off.

IF, and I stress IF, you do decide to go with a TB, just get the 58mm... you may not feel shit from it, but you will also not have to upgrade later when the time comes.

I would say these, a tune, subframe connectors, and some suspension stuff( lower control arms, shocks)

ha, just start with a good sounding exhaust. That was my first mod and favorite one so far. Im sure the nitrous will be my new favorite though after I use it for the first time.

dump the dual cat setup. its heavy and a huge bottle neck. i think there are a few spots that are under 2". and don't waste your money on the 96-97 dual cat headers.

i have a pic somewhere of my dual cat y-pipe next to a piece of 3" pipe. i swear that one of my header primaries is larger than the bottle necks that are in the dual cat y. i don't see how any power is made with it at all.
