I just recently picked up my LT1 Camaro and I'm wondering whats a safe shot to put to the motor. The car has 130k on it but the guy I bought it from (Cousins friend) claims it has a rebuilt motor w/ 10k on it. I want to assume the worst since I never seen receipts for this rebuild. So I'm gonna play it out like it has a 130k on it. I was looking into possibly a 100-150wet shot.
With a 100-150 shot would I have to get it tuned for it or could I just bump the timing down a couple degrees like any normal motor? I already have the kit along with a NX window switch. Any other recommended parts added to make it more safe to spray this car?
Any help would be great! Thanks!

Seeing as how you have the msd dist. with adjustable timing, im guessing you can just adjust the timing. But i think the car will run bad with timing adjusted and when your not spraying.

for the most part i feel you will be safe as long as you do NOT get greedy with the button or with the pill setting! you really do not need to retard your timing,i sprayed for a long time with a NX150 roughly 25 bottles till money got tight and i sold my unit.....:doh:please don't misunderstand me timing retard is a good idea but not a MUST for 150 and less. you will put more stress on internals.. i cannot stress enough the need to be certain you have a timing chain in good cond, fuel system in great condition any doubts put a new pump in there 255lph comes to mind.....have your injectors tested or just put new injectors in,ngk tr55 plugs are a nice choice gapped at .032-.035,FOLLOW INSTAL INSTRUCTIONS i strongly encourage contacting Ray@nitrousdaves he is on this board, the man is great, helpful and a racer.

Alright, The timing chain and fuel pump issues I plan on solving. Timing Chain will be replace when the new cam is installed and I for sure plan on putting in a bigger fuel pump as well. I'll get in contact with Ray and ask him some questions.
Thanks for the help!

I've been reading some other posts and noticed the some other people suggesting that as well. I'll be looking into it some more!
