well i was comin home from the car wash and there was an LS1 SS in front of me(not sure what year) once there wasnt alot of traffic he took off so i did the same, he slowed down and i got next to him, as soon as he down shifted i threw it in 2nd, he pulled about a car lenth on me and we stayed that way through 3rd and 4th, i let off at the top of 4th (since my speedo doesnt work and i had no clue how fast i was going probubly 120ish) he pulled over so i did the same and talked to him for a minute, nice guy

If you hung with him on the big end, thats pretty decent. Good story.

Which wont really benefit him at all from a roll....

Roll races can sometimes be stupid, but digs arent.

I scared myself during my last run on the street in the firebird, Ill run someone if they want to, SOMETIMES, but only random people. Im not into setting up street races and doing multiple runs, thats what the track is for.

Good run for the O.P. though.

Then you might as well take it to the track and get more equal conditions, and an exact race length.

Yeah... That would definately be the ideal way to do things. But sometimes going to the track isnt always convenient and accessable. The closest track from me is about 45 mins away (50 miles), and there is often 100+ cars there racing on test and tune nights.
