i have a guy that wants to traded his 02 c5 vette rims for my ugly rims that were onmy 95 z28. well we are about 150miles apart so we decided to meet half way and find a tire shop and have the c5 rims put on mine. they started to put the rear 18x9.5 on first but the wheel hub on the car was to big for the rim, the front c5 are 17x9 or 8.5 but dunno if they fit cause we stopped at the back. question is do i need spacers or adaptors? and were can i get them at for cheap.

AH......those are NOT 02 Vette wheels. Those are the often scorned "Wagon Wheels" that came on the 97-99 Vettes. Just FYI.
If you're going to use them, you'll have to just open the hub opening on the rear wheels a tad using a hand file or something. It's just a minor thing. The wheels are 17x8.5 and 18x9.5 for reference, tires should be 245/35-17 and 275/40-18.

Yep, what fastbird said.
Here is a quote from Injuneer on camaroz28.com:
WHY WON'T MY NEW WHEELS FIT OVER THE REAR HUBS ON MY 4TH GEN?
The 1993 to "late" 1996 4th Gen F-Bodies have a larger hub on the rear axle than on the front spindles. The rear axle hubs are about 0.03" larger in diameter than the front hubs. This problem was corrected in late 1996 model year or possibly in early 1997.
As a result, if you buy C4 or C5 wheels, or if you buy 1997 or newer F-Body wheels, they may not fit on the rear hubs of your 1993-1996 F-Body.
The solution is very simple. First, DO NOT FORCE THEM ON WITH THE LUGS! Very dangerous, and you may not be able to get them off. You need to lightly sand or grind (e.g. - Dremel) the inside diameter of the hub hole in the back of the wheel. Don't go nuts.... just remove enough metal so the wheel cleanly fits over the rear hubs, with no interference.
Think about doing this to all 4 wheels, so you can "rotate" the tires in the future.
This will not harm the wheels.... you are taking off the thickness of a sheet of paper. Just be sure you do a neat, smooth job. This will also NOT affect the centering of the wheels on the hubs. The 4th Gen wheels are "lug-centric" - they are centered by the conical lugs, not by the hubs.

Yeah, I used a file on mine and they worked.
The weird part is that they fit on the 97 without grinding but needed to be filed some to fit on the 94.

You know, I NEVER in my life thought I'd EVER say this, but those wagon wheels are a definite improvement. :D

There is the exact same issue with 98+ S-series trucks and 97-.
We normally use a flap wheel sander on a drill, or the really amitious take a router to the inside corner.

Very nice... I have a set of them as well but mine are powder coated stain black.
To answer your question on size I would stick with the 275-40-18 on the rear. My inner rim sometime rub the inner fender on sharpe turns.

I'm running Goodyear EMT stock tires off a 2000 vette. It's a decent tire since I don't run with a spare tire in the car just in case I get a flat tire. Very expensive to replace, so i'm switching too Sumitomo HTR Z II this spring. Got a hell of a deal from tirerack for all four $450 ship.
