How do I fix code p0441-- Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow

how do I go about this?

My car currently seems to bog or sputter when I gun it, at like 3300 rpm or so.


I also smell alot of fuel from somewhere on the driver's side.

How can I attack this code/problem.

Sounds like the charcoal canister purge valve is either plugged, charcoal canister filter is plugged (there is usually a small filter on the bottom of the canister you can change) or somewhere along the line. The cars gas tank was over-filled allowing fuel to run from the evap line back into the charcoal canister filling it with fuel, thus not allowing air to pass through the media.

Sounds weird but I've seen it happen.

i just did. evap canister took a dump throughout the system. had to replace caninster purge selonoid and purge valve

I had the same code. I replaced the solenoid on the passenger side of the intake manifold and the valve behind the rear driver side wheel well. Clear the codes, and problem solved.
