Soulreaver and I are working on getting a fix for anyone looking for a double din trim piece. We should have a tutorial up for those of you looking to spend less than 30$.

We are also trying to find a company that can mold the pieces for a decent price.

We'll keep you guys informed!

Currently any Camaro owner with a 97+ can modify their bezel for dirt cheap and some brains. I'll be doing a full write up this weekend and posting it for you guys.

I've had a TON of people ask me to make them bezels like that white one. I'd love to if I was better at it.

Yeah C5 Kidd, he took that money from all those guys and RAN FOR THE HILLS. he must have made 5K off of pre-orders then went cold turkey on everyone.

That's a shame. There are not many legitimate options. It's even worse for us pre '97 folks.

You should do it. With the new camaro comming out parts and shit will go down in price.

Never thought about it that way. Perhaps I will. If I do indeed decide on the switch, I'll probably just end up making a big job of it and do everything I have planned. I have a problem limiting myself. Can't do things in stride...must do everything at once!

Actually C5Kidd is still alive and kicking over on the corvette forum. He does put out an outstanding piece, you just have to wait a lil' while to get it.

Cause pimp factor goes up x10 with a full face touch screen in there. :D Personally, I think the flip face ones are hideous. Just my $.02 though.

This thread is just what I was looking for!! I wanted to do the upgrades but wither I couldn't find any or the one's I did find were ugly and way too expensive. If you guys get all of this together I really appreaciate being informed!! I'm willing to do all of the work myself. Thanks guys!!:peace2:

Alright, I broke down and purchased 6 Firebird bezels for 4th gen Firebirds. I haven't done Camaro one yet but have 2 Firebird double DIN bezels available now that are finished. I am also offering a discount on the bezel if you order a double DIN unit which I can do as a package with the harness adapter, and antenna adapter. If phantomzero or another moderator can tell me what model mount adapter some of the others used I will also include that as well (I had the model number and lost it).
The bezel by itself will be $125.00 shipped without needing to have your original bezel or $99.00 shipped if you mail me your stock bezel.
With the purchase of a double DIN unit you get the bezel for $75.00.
I haven't gotten the other bezels in yet but I should have them by the weeks end and have them fabbed up over the weekend.
For the Camaro guys I will be working on one for you as well but they are a little harder to do then the Firebird version. I have a Camaro bezel right now I am working on but I am picky and want to make sure it is right before I release it.
I will be making small batches of these as they are made from the stock bezels and are limited to the quantities of bezels available to me from other sources.
