View Full Version : Where do you sit right now?
In the 1/4 mile. As you best pass on your current setup.
And go......

Oh, we're talking about cars. It sits in the driveway.
No but really. If I installed my cam I'd figure about 12.7 next time I ran it. (with a tune and DRs) But since I'm not I'm shooting for ~13.5 which isn't bad at all considering all I have like shorty headers, a throttle body, and lower control arms. Not really sure when I'm going to run it though, I don't really feel the need to. I'd like to get it to the track eventually though because the last time I ran it I was on one header :jest:

My best time in the blown car is high 11's (on street tires, with really, really bad 60ft). I just bought a set of 17x11 SS wheels with 26X11.50-17LT MT ET Streets so that 60ft should improve this spring:devil:.
The other car is stuck at 13.1, can't seem to get it in the 12's. I have a racetronix pump to install this winter and hopefully with that addition the N2O will work all the way down the track without the FPSS shutting the spray off intermittently all the way down the track.

Ill let you run my bolt on car. Though, I dont run nitrous.

LOL, yeah I really don't (or can't) run nitrous either. It will pull fine on the dyno, but when I get to the track my fuel pump can't keep up with the demand and it constantly cycles on/off, on/off. It sucks!

I am stuck at 13.2. I know she has a 12 in her, just cant get her there. Need driver mod badly

My 94Z feels like a high 12... Have yet to run it though (with motor #4, the new 383; it ran 13.2 with heads/cam, and 15.6 with the 4.3L L99). One of these days... I got most of the go-go out of my system with the 98Z, getting it running low 10s. Ran it until my wallet couldn't stand it any more. :)
Only a 13.2 with H/C setup? What mph?

Yeah man, at your altitude it shouldn't be too hard to hit 12's with full bolt-ons and a good tune. Street tires or DR's?

Convertible pig! My car is completely full weight (spare/jack/etc) and went 107+ stock "motor" :face_shocked: w/ bolt ons

Yessir, she's a pig, and she's even heavier now that I put Dynamat in there and don't care about weight any more. I gave up on racing her, she's a cruiser, not a racer. I bought the 98Z for that, and had some fun starting in the 14's and taking 'er to the low 10s (just wish I would have got that 9.9x slip).
You're missing a couple numbers at the beginning.

Werd. I had to vote 9's when I'm in the 6's.
So in your imagination, insert a "or below" after 9, and add an "or above" to the 14.

In real life .... I was in the 8's five years ago:claps:
This year I will be in the 7's!!

My best pass was a 14.1 @ 101 on shitty tires... Now I should be about 13.8 - 13.9 with the tires on it now. 2.3 60's FTL....

I pushed a Mach 1 about 3/4 of a mile up a slight hill with 2 other guys. It wouldnt of been too bad but the pinion gear had shattered so it kept binding up and stopping the car. About a 1/2 mile into it, 2 fire fighters stopped and helped us push. My calfs were burning like a jew.

Right now my car sits on stands, lol.
Didn't vote because I dont have any 1/4 slips... But it went 6.15 in the 1/8 a year or so ago, prior to many changes.

i think i probably got the slowest car hear! my best is a 14.2@97, 170,000 on the clock, bad exhaust leaks, dieing trans, and spinning about 25% of the track (shitty sumitomos) i know the car has 13's in her but need to get all the minor shit fixed....the car has sat in a garage probably 3/4 of the time i have owned it...

How do you not hook with an auto with the sumitomos?! My car cut deep 1.9x 60's on the street tires. Sounds like the track you visited didnt want you staging in their lanes. :shame:
