hi guys

here's the deal, i am running pacesetters mid tube headers w/ stock cats and Y pipe, the question is are high flow cats and aftermarkey Y pipe worth the money and what kind of power gains should i expect or should i just spend the money on something else??

thanks

you would get a pretty good gain switching to an aftermarket y and high flow cats, especially if your car still has the stock cats on it that probably dont flow as good as when they were new. an aftermarket y pipe will be bigger to, i think the stock one is 2.5 inches and an aftermarket one is 3.

Magnaflow makes a good catalytic converter. Im not sure on the brand of y you could go with. I have a custom exhaust shop do all my work.

I went with Random Technology dual-catted y-pipe. It's been great, 20,000 miles later. Great fitment with my Pacesetter Mids, too.

I bought them quite a few years ago, so the Y-pipe was around $400, I believe.
Unfortunately, this is the only picture I have available at work. Don't mind the streak going down the driver's-side pipe. That is actually residue from a degreaser I used to clean the engine, before putting the exhaust on.
