Havent started the swap yet, but I did purchase the motor/trans with all ancillaries, plus harness and pcm.. motor is stripped now, block and crank at machine shop.. had to order special adapters for motor and trans mounts, so it's a bolt in installation...
I'm not pulling motor out of jag (as it's still running) until new motor ready to go in!!!
I will no doubt have plenty of questions!

Well, its finally underway.., I got the old 4.2 straight 6 out, and am now sorting out the wiring and cleaning the engine bay before the actual swap!!! Engine bay is massive, as some of these cars came with v12s 3908339083390843908439084

Shes alive!!!!! After a few weeks of chasing issues of my own creation ( many thanks Injuneer) she fired up, didnt get to drive it as I have no belt on it yet due to a power steering hose issue and also no exhaust yet, but she sounds mean and strong! The hot cam gives her a gorgeous lope!!! Moving forward now gotta get her road worthy!!

An exceptional conversion! Looking great. Classic Brit dark green. American muscle!

I have the opportunity to buy a pretty clean and partially restored 83 XJ6. These posts make me want to go scoop it up.

Only thing I can advise on there is rust and interior, jag interior is stupid expensive to redo, I lucked out and found a Canadian version with the velour interior and ripped the interior out of it for mine! and look for rust around bottom corners of windscreen and back glass, bad design, holds water, any rust you see there is merely the tip of the iceberg so to speak!!!

I appreciate the heads up! I didn't get a good look at it when I saw it. I do know most of the interior was redone aside from the headliner and back seat. I believe it was resprayed, but good to know about proceeding with caution lol. It had 4 flat tires so I couldn't get under it at the time. Ever since seeing Roadkill's Draguar, I've been intrigued by them.
