I'm looking to purchcase a 97 Trans AM WS-6 and I was wondering what type of rear came stock with these cars ?

7.5" 10 Bolt, 3.42 or 3.23 ratio depending on M6 or A4.

A4 = gu5 = 3.23:1

All V8 models got the G80 limited slip diff.

3.23:1 is the lowest for the A4 right.

For WS6 or SS A4's, they came with the 3.23 (GU5) gears. Base Z28 A4’s had 2.73 (GU2), unless the car was ordered with the GU5 (3.23) “performance rear axle”.
