Cruisin ocmd 2018

Well since it looks like OCMD city council voted to allow Cruisin to happen this year, (because the event had already taken over 2k pre registrations), there will be no need for the TAKEOVER that I was trying to orchestrate... (more on that for 2019, since Im sure the event will be banned after this year).

Anywayssssss... who all is going in May. The wife and I (obviously it is ultimatley up to my health) plan to attend for our usual full week... sat the 12th till sunday the 20th.

Our only issue now is whether we will mix things up after staying at the same place for the past 16 years.

We are debating staying at the Beachmark on 73rd or joining Gassey in a near by condo somewhere in the 69th st area.

Its a difficult decision, as we have another change this year, and that is that Ponch (cleared by both facilities who dont accept pets) will be joining us....

With that being said... post up if ur going , what days u will be going amd where ur staying...

We will be there. Staying at The Quay again. Honestly, staying at a condo is awesome, saves a good amount on food and stuff. We usually only go out for meals once a day and make a joint shopping trip on Thursday. No check out time on Sunday so we lounge around and clean the condo, leave around 4:30 and get home before 6.

It has a full kitchenette to store and cook all the groceries as well. Still cant help going out toneat several times a day. Lol. We end up taking so many groceries home from vacation... as well as leftovers.

Not sure if we are going, but most likely not at all until after the 2019 wedding. I didn't even mod my V much over the winter, aside from swapping headlight bulbs (under aftermarket warranty) and interior LED swap.

I'll be living vicariously through you all. Have fun and check out the drag strip!

We’re in the 16th floor at ours. It’s faces south right at the slight bend on coastal. At night you can look straight down the strip to the end.

FYI, if u go thru Dover, there is a guru use to work Townsend (now Chevy of Dover), knows Camaros and cars in general, just saying, although I got my car antique, had to pull a few cards.

MikeThank man, but it's not a mechanical issue. More of a parts I chose to put on it. Long tube headers AIR and EGR delete and a 12 inch bullet cat that is band clamped in (for easy removal).

Worst case scenario @ sahara54 has an emission tune that he can load in the parking lot just to get it through.

Yea mine was mechanical and visual, and they do use a mirror to check for a cat, not sure how savvy they are to seeing one welded in vs bolt in.

Yea when he looked and closed the hood, didn't think much of it till I asked about antique, he was like that's not a tpi intake, I kinda sank, but threw out the retired mil card and guess that swayed him enough to antique

We got our ass handed to us last night with that storm. We had trees, lines and transformers dropping left and right. We called in a relief dispatcher for help and she caught the brunt on the way in by hail and star'd her windshield. 4.5 hrs to go till Vaca...Dispatching the big red trucks tonight so hopefully everything "Q word" till 6a.
