Okay about 3 years ago when I was a daily driving the car the brake lights worked perfectly fine the car was parked for a couple of years for a new engine rebuild and dedicated drag racing build. So now the car is drivable again and the tail lights now are acting up everybody says to check my grounds and everything is good and tight I literally haven't changed or done anything so I don't know what's happened.
The video shows what's going on

Have you checked the sockets for corrosion? Seems like the bright filament for the brakes is still getting voltage without the brake pedal being pressed.

That's a good question, I got 1 from Dorman witch I am using now but had to basically destroy it to get it to fit. I wonder if the ls1 style sockets will fit?

LS1 sockets should fit. LS tail lights are always swapped into the LT cars, so should be the same.

But where can I find some good NEW pigtails/sockets for the tail lights?
