Ltconvert found a deal on a g-body. made me do the legwork. went and looked at it. looks rust free. 88 cutty supreme. bone stock. the owner stated trans has a small leak, runs good etc. got it for $800. damn near blew the engine on way home, trans is toast.

plans are budget gbody shuffle with some spray. stock crank forged rod forged flat top 355 with a 150shot on a plate. have a painless stand alone lt1 harness. instead of disconnected they were ripped out with dykes and a knife. this is a going all the way on the cheap build. this is what we do well, fast for cheap. both this and Ltconvert procharged camaro were found bone stock for $800. his camaro is used parts save a few things.

with spray and good suspension/trans I think this car will be plenty fun.

seeing that fays2engineering makes a watts link for the gbody, and the whole trying to avoid the shuffle part, we have decided to go that route, along with full umi rear suspension. front suspension will just be shocks and lowering springs for a bit, unless all the bushings are totally shot.
firebird_1995 do you think we will have a problem running ss 10 spokes with 275's all around?

edit* just found out we will need a decent sized spacer to run them. oh well

Should be the same back spacing as a 3rd gen. I think Rich and Matt run 2" - 2 1/4" spacers on the fronts of their cars.

NightTrain66 just finished the afr 195 head repairs we got from another forum member that had damage. them, custom cam for forged 355 and 150 shot, and ported intake coming from Lloyd shortly.

then a trans core has to go to the wizard in Delaware for a solid build/converter then I guess we will begin assembly of this turd
