i bet you're expecting pics of my back seat, but the handle is still in the mail. the front seats on the other hand are back in the car :)
it cost me another $200 (so $450 total) and an extra trip back to get some of my parts because the guy didn't install the headrests and said they just clip in, which is true.. but FYI for you T/A guys, the metal clips that keep the headrests from being removed from the car also keep them standing up when they are in the upper position.
so i give you my new front seat upholstery.

actually they are the 93-96 Graphite color. they reflect a bit more than the stock leather in pics and are actually slightly lighter than the stock graphite color, but not as much as those pictures would lead you to believe.
here's a pic of one of the seats with the garage door open and no flash.

hopefully i'll get the rears in this week when that part comes in. they only have ~ 30 mins worth of work needed on them assuming that nut holds when i try to put the bolt in. then i just have 10 or so hogrings to put in and a few holes to cut in the fabric for the seatbelt bolts on the back of the seat. After all the trouble with the fronts, i thought for sure the rear seats would be going back in first but its taken a bit longer than i exected to get the handle in the mail because of the holiday last week. I also am not sure what to do about the front of the passenger front seat where the little adjuster thing is because the faboric clips don't seem to want to stay connected there. its like the upholstery on that seat was made a little to big. i can get them in place and they kind of stay, but i'm curious to see if they will when the car moves. if not i might have to find a way to poke a couple holes in the plastic clip and hog ring it in place or something. (i think there are a couple holes in the metal frame up there that i could use to push the hogrings through)

if you're referring to the top part of the back seats, they are not pulled tight right now. there is velcro in there that is not attatched right now because i have yet to put the handle on. since i'm not 100% sure the handle is going to go on without breaking that nut loose again, i only put 3 hogrings on the seat right in the middle so i can still reach my hand up into the seat to put pressure on the nut to keep the jb weld from breaking loose. once i get the handle tightened down, i will push the material into the other side of the velcro and then alighn it more at the bottom before i hogring it together (thats why its wrinkly at the bottom)
if you're referring to the front seats, i guess they could be a little tighter on the backrest in the area where the verticle stitches are, but i found another pic of this kit in a 3rd gen and there are some wrinkles here and there.

i havent taken any new pics but since i have a ton of hogrings left over (well i havent done the lower back yet but it should only take 10-15 and i had around 80 left) i decided to undo some of the ones on the bottom of the rear seats so i could reach up in there and put some velcro in areas where the seats were wanting to come up. they are now sitting tighter in the middle on the lower seat pads

that looks pretty nice, I'd love to do something similar with mine. Unfortunately mine are in damn near perfect shape with 151k miles on them. :face_shocked:
:hail: for previous owners who know how to take care of their shit.

my passenger seat was actually in pretty good shape except for one small tear down in the middle of the bottom of the seat. i have no idea where it came from but it was hardly noticeable. it just appeared there one day out of the blue and i hardly ever have anyone else in my car so i doubt it came from someones keys or something. the drivers seat on the other hand had the typical bolster wear of a 14 year old 123k mile car, and the top of the rear seat had a lot of stitch separation problems due to it being a southern car. it has tint now but didn't until 2004.

get some thin couch padding and glue it on the foam padding and put the covers on them again, it will fill them out a bit more and make 90% of the wrinkles go away...

which part of the seat are you talking about?
i am not touching the upper part of the front seats. i spent way too much money having them installed in the first place.
the lower rears i already fixed with some velcro and the upper rear seat isn't hogringed together yet (nor is the velcro on that seat attatched together right now in that pic)
the one thing i might do is try something with the front passenger seat where the clips holding the upholstery came undone while putting them in the car. i already put it back in place but its kind of loose. a few hogrings might take care of that

i got the seat handle today and was able to put it in without breaking the jb welded nut loose from the seat.
