Mu-Fuckin Booyah! VFN 3 Inch SS! Love it.
Going into the shop today to fix the damaged fender and bumper. The stock SS hood was damaged, but will be repaired. Couldn't pass up a golden opportunity for this hood.
Thanks for lookin!

Looks good. Too much hood for the mods done to it IMO, but I'm sure that will change as soon as he can and I understand he had to do it now anyway.

Yeah guys, the hood is tight. The hole needs to be drilled out a bit more so the actual grille can fit inside of it. No big deal though. I didn't even try to line this hood up, and it looks pretty close. Go VFN!!
The car is going to actually be dropped off tomorrow morning. I wanted to take it out tonight.
As far as not enough mods for the hood, it runs in the 12's, I count that as enough :) All my mods aren't listed in my sig, tee hee....

Did you take a side shot? I'm curious how well the LS1 spoiler is a match the the hood (in terms of height)
There's no way thats the same car in the signature.
You didn't tell us you had 2 identical cars!

I've only seen it (in person) on a LS1 car.

Love it! That's the same hood I put on mine after an accident. Unfortunately, I didn't notice until after paint that the grill opening was slightly too small. Quick fix though.
What color car is that Soul?

I cant wait to see it......clean!
Looks good Randall! What did you do to your finger?
I was taking off the hood strut and pinched my finger between the wrench and the metal flange that holds the strut to the hood. My whole knuckle is black and blue. Weird.

Black, LOL!!! Looks terrible in the pictures.

I always liked this hood but I still like your car with the sunoco. That hood would look even more awesome with a giant manta flat black!!!

I can KINDA see where you are going with that... but matte black wouldn't be so hot with the polished summer wheels.

I actually was thinking about selling this hood and having VFN make me the same model in Carbon Fiber. I wanted to leave the scoop CF and paint the rest of the hood. Too bad it would cost an arm and a leg.

I found this interesting. I wanted to see how well the LS1 SS Spoiler balanced out the 3" VFN Hood. (Obviously the lines drawn aren't exact.)

I was actually suprised. I mean that picture isn't exact but I figured the hood would be quite a bit taller which looks to not be the case. Have you done the hose mod? I bet it would sit perfectly if you did. Granted once you sit in it I bet the rear would come down more.

TTII's are warm weather wheels. Polished + Salt = bad.

Nope no hose mod. I always liked my ride height, which is why I never did it.
I may do it in the future, I just lack motivation.
Leave it as is. Just get that old turd polished up! We're gonna need a full photoshoot whenever you get some good weather out there.

Yeah I know it. I haven't cleaned the car in about 4 weeks, maybe even more. All this weather just sucks. It'll be cleaned every thoroughly the day it comes back from the shop. I'll take a ton of pics.
